Detroit Stumbles, Trips Over Own Feet

Tigers L 10-5, (5-2 Overall, 2-2 v. Royals)Wow, what a shitty game. They should be called the Detroit Postal Workers the way they mailed this thing in. Again, not converting with bases loaded was a problem, but the errors, the errors are what killed us. Tigers converted 3 double plays in the first 3 innings (Brandon Inge's diving infield catch plus double up at first was really impressive), but after that, we might as well have been coached by Walter Matthau.

Guillen did hit a home run, but poor pitching by Brad Thomas and an unimpressive 1 1/3 from Fu Te-Ni just won't get it done. Cabrera's drop of a 2 out foul ball which turned into a Jose Guillen 2 run homer was particularly egregious. 4 errors in a game is pretty unaccetable. "I don't know how I missed that ball," Cabrera said.Me neither. My mother could have made that catch. Hopefully, we'll do better tomorrow.

Next Up: Royals v Tigers, Apr 13 1:05pm ET
