Gosder Getting Nice
Freep - Detroit Lions right tackle Gosder Cherilus returned to the field today, about a month after having arthroscopic surgery to remove debris from his right knee. Cherilus went through individual drills during the Lions’ organized team activity, but not team drills, coach Jim Schwartz said. “He’s doing fine,” Schwartz said. “He didn’t have something that was going to be long-term. He’s back in drills and things like that. He’s still not back full, but he’s making good progress.”
Real slow day on the sports end here at JBS but at least we got a little bit of good news on the Lions' front. My second favorite player Gosder Cherilus, behind JBS friend Zack Follett of course, has returned after having his right knee scoped and is going through individual drills. I can see him now, over on the sideline working on his footwork as he pulls from the right tackle spot and runs over to chop block the left end who just torched Backus. That shit is poetry in motion, just ask Jared Allen who's been crumpled twice by Gosder.
But for real, it's good to have Gosder back and I think this is finally gonna be the year he puts it all together and lives up to all the hype. Fans have been in a frenzy over him since day 1.
