Bowersox To Sing At Toledo Mudhens Game! - If Fifth Third Field Gets Laser Tag, I'm Moving In
Freep - Crystal Bowersox, one of four finalists on Fox's "American Idol," could be back in Toledo to sing The Star Spangled Banner at a Mud Hens game next week -- if she doesn’t get voted off the show on Wednesday. The 24-year-old singer from nearby Elliston, Ohio, has agreed to sing the National Anthem before Friday’s 7 p.m. baseball game between the Hens and the Indianapolis Indians. Coincidentally, it will be the first night of the season for postgame fireworks at the downtown Toledo stadium.
Since when did the Mudhens become this marketing giant? First it was the Fantastic Freeze Sunday which has 15 scoops of icecream in a real batting helmet and now you're giving me fireworks and Bowersox? Shit, buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks, I don't care if I ever get back. At this point I could basically care less if the Mudhens are even playing while I'm at the ballpark. I mean a Bowersox concert with icecream and fireworks is a shit ton better than watching Armando Galarraga labor all over the mound in a Mudhens uniform any night of the week.
