It continues to surprise me how the Pistons can keep it close with a team like the Magic. Just the way that team is made up seems like they should roll past a team like the Pistons. I mean, when you’re rolling out Ben Wallace and Jason Maxiell against a dude like Dwight Howard, you’re in trouble.
Yet, there they were, the Pistons hanging tough down the wire. We even managed to hold Howard under his season average. But the three point shooting of the magic was too much to overcome. That and the horrible turnover from Ben Gordon down the stretch. Can somebody explain to me why the fuck he was on the court in the last minutes? Dude was 2-11, and 0-4 from deep for 5 points.
Also, how the hell do you expect to win when you let JJ Redick drop 17 on you? Like seriously, JJ Redick? I can handle showtimers like Jameer Nelson or Rashard Lewis taking it to us, just not a Dukie. Anyone but a Dukie.
