Sorry for the Pistons neglect, Beer Die league on Friday seemed to have weakened my immune system. That or the general play of the team lately. Anyways, I would just like to point out that the pistons have now won 2 of their last 3! Oh wait, both of those wins were against the nets. Turns out we have lost 6 or our last 8, including that beat down at the hands of the Pacers on Friday.
I guess I’m not too upset about the beating we took from the Pacers, but I guess that’s because I was drinking my face off at Beer Die League. It’s hard to get upset about the battle for fourth place in the Central when you are busy working on your blackout.
At least we had our second visit in the last three games against the Nets to look forward to on Saturday. That game was actually kind of fun to watch. I peeled off early from dinner with the folks and skipped Ann Arbor Winter Warriors to watch Jonas Jorebko put on a clinic. Dude went 9-9 for a cool 20 points.
So what are you thinking right now if you’re Austin Daye? Your team just played the worst team in the league, a team that is making a run at the title of Worst Team Ever, and you didn’t get to remove you’re warm-up gear. Oh, and on top of that, the team’s second round Swedish draft pick, a guy with the exact same skill set as you, just started and was the leading point scorer. Did I mention that you’re currently sitting at the end of the bench between Chris Wilcox and Kwame Brown. Daye’s got to be rooting for some more injuries to get back on the court, right?
