New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that the team has acquired forward Brian Cardinal from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for center Darko Milicic and cash considerations.
Whhhaaaattttt!!! I can't believe people aren't jumping off of buildings after hearing this news. This is the most earth shattering trade since Kobe for Vlade back in the day. The world as we know it will never be the same. The T-wolves just got nice though. They are losing the 1.7 points and 0.9 rebounds per game that Cardinal gave them day in and day out but get to plug in the Serbian Sniper who is guaranteed to give you 2.0 points and 2.3 rebounds every night. T-wolves to the post season, book it.
I wonder what the odds of Darko being traded for Brian Cardinal were back when he got drafted number two overall. This shit is just laughable. Not that you didn't know this already but you can go ahead and officially bury Darko now cause his career is dead.
PS - I was at the Knicks - Bulls game last night at MSG and kept looking all over for Darko but I couldn't find him anywhere. Now I know why, dude was on his way to Minnesota. I did keep confusing him with Gallinari every two seconds but anytime Gallo hit a shot I realized it wasn't Darko.
PSS - Is that one of those huge fake crayons that Darko is pretending is a rocket launcher? Like I'm guessing some NBA PR guy saw this thing in the prop room and said, "Hey Darko, you are from a war torn country right? Wanna pretend this giant crayon is a bazooka?" And of course he said yes.
