Shaun Hill Takes First String Snaps, Likely To Start Against Bills
Freep - Shaun Hill wore a black cast up to his elbow on his left arm and took all the first-team reps in the open portion of Lions practice this morning, making it likely he'll start Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. Hill has been out since fracturing his left forearm in an Oct. 17 loss to the New York Giants. He used that arm to hand off during practice today and took snaps from the shotgun formation using both hands to catch the ball.
With this news, the Lions just went from handing the Bills their first win, to being 10 point favorites. You wanna know why? Cause Shaun Hill is a bad mother fucker, that's why. He without question throws a better jump ball than Stafford and runs a better screen game as well. He also loves going short across the middle and utilises both Scheffler and Pettigrew when Stafford seems to fixate way more on Pettigrew. If the running game can get anything going then I anticipate an easy win this weekend. Jesus, Lions and easy win in the same sentence. Can't remember the last time that happened.

I think its time to look at what i suggested 2 years ago, and thats getting mike vick. hes a UFA after this year right? No way you can count on stafford to be your starting qb next year. granted he will be, but you need a stud number 2 just ready for stafford to crumble again. that boy is mike vick. kid would run wild at ford field. Brock Martinez already gave him a nickname, Motown Mike
ReplyDeleteLove the idea back then but I don't see Vick going anywhere as a backup next season. He's proven that he makes the Eagles a much more dangerous team than Kolb and he's gonna be looking for a starting spot and a huge payday come free agency, especially now that teams know he isn't a distraction and fan backlash will be at a minimum.
