Another Crazy Football Play Where I Have No Idea What's Going On

 

I get that he's trying to run out the game clock on 4th down, but what I don't understand is why the defense didn't tackle him as soon as he stopped running? The clock must've still had time on it at that point cause if it didn't the QB could've just fallen down and ended the game. So if there was still time remaining you'd think the D would tackled him immediately (while also trying to strip the ball) and attempted a field goal or hail mary or whatever the time and situation called for. But instead there is this weird stalemate where everyone is standing around comparing dick sizes. Does anyone know what the hell is going on here?

PS - Just listened to it with the sound on and you can hear a horn blow which makes this dipshit QB think he doesn't have to finish the play so he stops running. The D obviously doesn't wanna tackle him cause it'll end the game and when the QB holds the ball out #56 makes the headsiest play of the high school football season as he snatches the ball and runs to pay dirt.
