Freep - Former Detroit Tigers slugger Dmitri Young pleaded guilty today to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana charges in McLean County Circuit Court in Bloomington, Ill. A second count of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. These charges were in connection with his July 5 arrest at Central Illinois Regional Airport. He was preparing to board a flight to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He was given 18 months court supervision, which means he cannot violate any criminal statute or ordinance of any jurisdiction. He paid $750 in court costs and fines today.
