Remember Those Lebron To The Pistons Rumors From A Year Ago? Bahahaha
VS
At one point in the second quarter, with the Pistons leading by 15, I turned to Motay and asked him if he would take the Pistons +6. He wouldn’t, and I wouldn’t have either. It was just way too obvious that no matter how well the Pistons played the Cavs were going to be way too much for them. As it turned out the Cavs got them by 7.
The real news from the game, though, was the startling image of Rodney Stuckey going to the bench for a timeout in the fourth quarter and promptly collapsing into the arms of a trainer, apparently with a seizure. Stuckey was rushed to hospital and kept over night.
After the game multiple Pistons expressed how they were disturbed by what had happened to Stuckey, and emphasized how much they wanted to pull together and win one for him. Well that was just going to be too much last night. Beating LeBron and the Cavs at full strength is one thing, beating him after seeing one of your buddies keel over on the sideline is just too much. I wouldn’t be able to keep focused, and neither could the Pistons.
Hopefully this is just a freak occurrence for Rodney and we see him back in the starting line up soon
