2009 Winner
Fox Sports Detroit has held their annual contest to pick the newest band to sing "April in the D" which celebrates all that is Detroit sports in the spring. In the past it has always highlighted the Pistons and Wings getting ready for the playoffs and the opening of Tiger baseball. But Detroit better be careful cause if the Wings shit the bed and the Tigers get off to a rough start then there won't be much to sing about around here. But if Grandma had balls, she'd be Grandpa and we'll deal with that when we come to it.
What I'm peeved about is the fact that they keep picking weak ass nobodies to try and fire up the Detroit faithful. No way in hell I'm getting all jacked up by a couple of bands named "The Good Luck Joes" and "Victorious Secret".
Solution, put these two in a studio with a bottle of bourbon and give me whatever comes out. Boom, April in the D.
Oh, and Mark Mcgrath you're not invited.
