Last night's 3-1 win over Pittsburgh was a truly epic game. It was epic because it reminded everyone who the best team in hockey is. It was epic because it showed that the Wings can and will win big games. It was epic because Jimmy Howard looked like a playoff goaltender while making 26 huge saves. It was epic because Zetterberg and Datsyuk are officially back on track and the two best players in the NHL behind Ovechkin. It was epic because you could tell Franzen and Filpula aren't that far behind them. It was epic because Wings vs Pens became a legitimate rivalry with a bit of a nasty streak. And it was epic because it cemented Sidney Crosby as the biggest cry baby, pussy whining bitch in the NHL. There should literally be an award given out to anyone who can out-do his bitching over the course of a season called the Sidney Crysby Award. You can hand it out right between giving Pavel Datsyuk the Lady Byng for being the most gentlemanly player in the NHL and Nick Lidstrom the Norris Trophy for being the best defenseman year after year.
And in his post game circle jerk where the Pens sit around and listen to Sidney dish about his latest man crushes he had this to say...
"It was just a physical game with a couple of players battling at the end."

Well, it's all just fuel to the fire and you know the NHL wants a Stanley Cup rubber match so who are the Wings not to oblige. I would just hate to be a Hawks fan these days. Seems like every two minutes another one of there D gets cremated into the end boards and unless Detroit makes up the 2 points to catch Colorado for the 7 spot we will be seeing an Original Six matchup in the first round. Wings in 6.
PS - Anyone catch Osgood tying to make out with the trainer on bench. Dude needs to get some PT soon cause he is starting to lose it.
