Since I'm outta market here in NYC and with things getting down to crunch time for the Wings I found myself listening to them on the radio. Shit is gonna give me a coronary though because going straight off the inflection of the announcers voice is pure hell. You can tell you aren't gonna know what happens, good or bad, until after it goes down. But fortunately for Detroit Homer came up huge with 1:19 left in the 3rd and tipped in a shot from Franzen that broke a 1-1 tie. This whole thing felt like an 8 second bull ride where you just had to hold on till the horn blew.

Datsyuk and Franzen both had 2 pts each and Jimmy Howard won this game with several huge saves. Datsyuk's first goal was an absolute beauty were he dance through the 3 guys and ripped one top shelf with Homer providing the screen. After riding the Saddle tonight the Wings are 3 points up on Calgary for the 8 spot and are 1 point behind Nashville for the 7 spot in the West.

PS - Does anyone think that Homer looks like a drunk Dom Woog?
