Great, Randy Finds His Way to the NFC North Once Again
I've spent some time trying to figure out this whole Randy Moss trade and it makes less sense the more I look at it. Trading a guy of his caliber, probably one of the top 50 football players of all time, for a third round pick that will most likely get used on some worthless corner/safety from Iowa is downright criminal. The Lions got a 1st, a 3rd, and a 6th round pick when they traded Roy Williams to Dallas and Roy will never be a tenth of the player Randy Moss currently is. None of this adds up. I mean I imagine the guy was a cancer in the locker room and after publicly stating he wouldn't be back next year things had to be a little awkward, but Randy doesn't run that locker room, Belicheck does. Tell him to shut his mouth and catch touchdowns. If he wants to run his mouth he's the one who looks like a fool and teams won't wanna pay him. On the other hand if he plays his ass so he can make money next year, then you've gotten more value outta him than you're gonna get out of that 3rd round pick. So why deal him? I think Belicheck just got fed up with his antics and thought he wasn't worth the hassle. They did win 41-14 last week with him doing absolutely nothing. In the end I think Belicheck probably knows what he's doing, I just have no idea what it is.
