Lions Bumaya!!! Lions Rip Rams To Shreds

This game was a freakin' coming out party. I'm still tingly just thinking about it. Don't get it twisted, I mean the Lions aren't headed to the Super Bowl or anything, but that was Lion Nation exploding 8 years of pent up frustration all over Ford Field Sunday afternoon. It was the players, the fans, and the coaching staff all just finally letting go. At one point you could actually see the ghost of Millen get sucked into the air conditioning duct and exhaled out onto Brush Street.

The party started when Stefan "I thought his name was Nook" Logan took a kickoff back 105 yards and immediately put the Lions back in the lead after St. Louis had tied it up. The last Lions kick I can remember them returning was in '07 when Casey Fitzsimmons took back an onside kick by the Bears in that huge comeback win. Before that I'm guessing the last one was in the hands of Desmond Howard. As the lead continued to grow so did the Lions enthusiasm. When Corey Williams made that tackle for a loss and slide down onto his belly and army crawled another 3 yards I knew the rout was on. Then Nate Burleson punted the ball 50 rows into the stand and Schwartz laughed it off. That's when things seemed like they were getting pretty loose.

But that moment was trumped by Alphonso Smith busting out "the Carlton" after the pick six. Shit had officially hit the fan.

Then you throw in Suh pickin one off and Calvin making Fletcher his bitch all game long and I was one happy slappy.

We deserved this one as fans and I'm glad the players had fun with it. After being the whippin boy for so long it's finally nice to tell someone else to bend over.

  2. After watching michigan lose on saturday i figured my weekend couldn't get any worse, until about 5 minutes before kickoff for Lions game when Fox36 Toledo tells me they are going to show the Browns - Falcons game instead of letting me watch the Lions get their first win of the season. totallyfuckinbelievable
