There hasn't been a blend of talent and heart like Vanden Bosch playing in Honolulu Blue for years. The guy is an absolute beast that never gives up on a play and any questions about his ability coming into this season were silenced early on. He's been instrumental in bringing the defensive line back to respectability and has played a huge role in the development of Suh into an NFL elite DT. Losing him for the remainder of the year means we can expect to see a lot more of Turk McBride who did a solid job filling in against Chicago. More than his production though, Vanden Bosch's leadership by example will be the biggest loss for a Lions team struggling to stay focused in a season that has quickly gone to shit.
