Suh Fined $15,000 For Donkey Punching Cutler

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh said he plans to appeal the $15,000 fine he got this week for his hit on Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Referee Ed Hochuli said the penalty was for committing “an unnecessary non-football act -- a blow to the back of the runner's helmet in the process of him going down." Replays appeared to show Suh shove Cutler in the upper back area as he was still running.

“I do intend to appeal it and, to be honest with you, my mentality right now is I owe it to my teammates, the fans and the former players and my coaches to play as hard as I can,” Suh said today. “At that particular point in time and throughout that game, all I was trying to do was play as hard as I can. As Cutler was trying to make a play, I was trying to make a play.”

I can't believe this shit. It's honestly like the NFL can do whatever the hell they want. The replay shows that it wasn't a forearm and that the shove initiated at the shoulder pads and base of the neck. It's one thing to fuck the Lions over on the call, but quite another to fine Suh after the fact when you've watched it countless times. The Ford's should come out and publicly reimburse Suh the $15,000 for the hit so that he keeps leveling poeple like a Mack truck.
