This Is Gonna Hurt. Wolverines Better Strap Up On Saturday. Greg Lloyd Jr Is Coming To A2

STORRS, Conn. — Connecticut’s coaches have scrapped plans to make linebacker Greg Lloyd Jr. take this season off as a redshirt year to recover from the serious knee injury he suffered in November. Lloyd, the son of the former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, tore the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee Nov. 28 against Syracuse. After being cleared to practice at the start of training camp, he sneaked into drills he wasn’t supposed to do and took repetitions he wasn’t supposed to take.

“It’s great to have our big run stopper in the middle back,” Lutrus said. “I don’t know what it is -- it must be in his blood with his father or whatever -- but he’s just got that instinct to get in there and hit big guys.” Lloyd wears the same No. 95 as his dad but doesn’t talk about their relationship. They have been estranged since Lloyd was 12, and the father was accused of putting a gun in the boy’s mouth because he received bad grades. Two assault charges ended in mistrials.

I feel like I'm reading Wikipedia or something. The last line of this was either made up by some drunk dude at 3 in the morning or the Free Press is just fabricating stories to save the newspaper business because juggernaut blog gods like myself are running them into the ground. But for real, that whole gun in the mouth thing didn't happen, did it? I mean I was a huge Steelers slappy when I was young and I jerked off to that Steelers D with Lloyd, Kirkland, Greene, Lake, and Rod "God" Woodson more than I watched porn and I never heard about Greg Sr. sticking a gun in Junior's mouth cause he brought home a B on his report card. Just imagine if that happened in today's media market. The kid would've tweeted it to ESPN instantly, then we'd have to watch Lebron schedule an hour long special about it, and then Favre would tell us he was okay with it, then wasn't okay with it, then was okay with it again. Totallyfuckinbelievable.

Sidenote, I totally believe this actually happened. Look at this crazy mother fucker.

Anyway, the real reason for this post was to give you my take on this Saturday's game against Uconn. I'm thinking this one is gonna be a close game that comes down to a few big plays, probably real early or real late in the game. But that was before I thought Greg "I've had guns in my mouth" Lloyd Jr was cleared to play. Ain't gonna lie, I'm a bit concerned now. I'm just fairly sure that Rich Rod has been sandbaggin' for 2 years and is gonna unleash a whole new type of panty that we've never even heard of. In which case, U of M by 6.

The Pick: U of M, -3 (even)

Only really taking this one cause you can't bet against them in week one. Unless of course they're playing App State.
