Romulus — A 32-year-old Nigerian woman was arrested Sunday at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after admitting to swallowing what turned out to be 2.5 pounds of heroin in numerous small packages. Sherifat Lamidi arrived at Metro Airport on a Lufthansa Airlines flight from Frankfort, Germany, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said. Lamidi told officers she didn't know how much she swallowed or what type of drugs they were, officials said. She was taken to an area medical facility where staff supervised her expulsion of 91 packets of heroin, officials said. The drugs have a street value of $125,000, officials said.
Apparently DTW is the new hotness in fucked up airport shit. Last year it was the underwear bomber coming into Detroit from Amsterdam and now we got this Nigerian drug mule trying her luck in Detroit. I guess it's just common knowledge across the globe that Detroit is the most jacked up place in the country and therefore probably the most likely to let you swallow 90 heroin balls the size of Jimmy Dean sausages while you're waiting in line at security.
