Michigan Lands First Recruit Under Brady Hoke
DetroitNews.com - New Michigan football coach Brady Hoke received his first commitment for the 2011 class on Thursday morning, according to a report. Hoke landed 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back Tamani Carter from Pickerington (Ohio) Central, TheWolverine.com is reporting. Carter originally had planned to go to Stanford, then decided to consider Minnesota earlier this month. Carter is rated the No. 104 cornerback in the country by Scout.com. He does not have a rating on Rivals.com. Both recruiting Web sites rate him has a three-star prospect. Michigan now has 11 commitments for 2011. The first day of the national signing period is Feb. 2.
It's real tough for the average guy to know anything about 95% of the recruits available each year but it's good to at least hear Michigan got one of them. The guy is also from Ohio which is a good sign considering we haven't gotten anyone outta there since Charles Woodson. On a sidenote, this kid will not be Charles Woodson.
