TGIFF - Thank God It's Follett Friday
I'm not commenting on last nights Lions' win because frankly it doesn't mean jack. I didn't watch it, didn't need to. 3-1, 1-3, or 0-4 wouldn't make any difference to me because good teams are just out there to not get hurt. A week from Sunday, in Soldier Field is where we'll see what we're actually working with. When it's all laid out there and players are putting there body on the line for an inch and a first down, we'll see what this new regime is made of.
Things I'm excited about...Jahvid Best might be better than advertised and isn't the fragile piece of glass some thought he was. He'll have a better career than C.J. Spiller when it's all said and done. The defensive front also looks menacing and is deeper than it's been in the last decade.
Things I'm concerned about...The secondary is terrible and is only slightly worse than the linebacking core. Peterson is solid and Follett has made huge gains (played well last night) but there are major questions concerning DeAndre Levy's groin injury and the depth at all three spots.
