Jason Demers Punches Linesman

I'd like to clown on this ref for getting in the middle of this melee a bit too early and getting a fist in the face for his efforts but you know what? I love it. Linesman get paid to retrieve pucks and break up fights and this guy diffused the situation exceptionally well, albeit with his face. He needs to get a raise and in fact all linesmen need to get a little more credit cause they're the ones on the front line.

PS - No way Demers should be suspended. There is talk of laying out a fine or something but he didn't do it intentionally and it's just a part of everyday life in the NHL.

PSS - How bout the rampage that the Stars' Steve Ott went on to start this whole thing. Just absolutely destroyed that dude in the corner and then cold cocked the first guy that came after him. Guy must be studying my old game film.
