Michigan Beats Nebraska-Omaha in OT with Controversial Goal

ST. LOUIS — The longer the replay review dragged on, the more certain Kevin Lynch became that Michigan ’s season was still alive. Lynch scored at 2:35 of overtime on a goal that required more than 10 minutes of scrutiny, giving the Wolverines a 3-2 victory over Nebraska-Omaha in the West Regional semifinals on Friday night. “I knew it was in, I was pointing at it and play was going on,” Lynch said. “They took that long to review it, I figured it was going to be a goal.”

It's about damn time the Wolverines got a break in an OT game. They've lost something like 5 NCAA Tournament OT games in a row and were due. Now they'll take on Colorado College in the semifinals tonight at 9pm. Catch the game on ESPNU and keep me updated. I'll be getting hamboned on a trolley for Dom's birthday.

PS - This was absolutely a goal and I'm not just saying that because I'm a UofM slappy.
