I Feel Gut Shot: Michigan Falls to Duke 73-71

Couldn't have asked for anything more from the boys in Blue. They recognized the lack of timeouts and pushed the ball after the miss. They realized that a two would tie it and went to the basket. And they came away with a good look that just didn't go down. Sure I would've loved for Morris to take it all the way to the rack and try to initiate contact but he'd been doing that all game and it wasn't going well. They also could've tried to drive and kick it to the corner for the win but Hardaway Jr. was blanketed and nobody else was ready. It seriously was a great look that just didn't go down. You take the defending champs down to the wire in the tourney after starting 1-6 in the Big Ten, I consider that a success. I absolutely underestimated the resiliency of this team and I think their play coupled with the renaissance of Fab Five hype should do wonders to get in-state recruits to give Michigan a long look instead of automatically heading North to play for Izzo. Can't wait for next year. With that being said, I still feel gut shot. I'm gonna go curl up somewhere and bleed out.

PS - Like I said, incredibly proud of our guys. Could've done without this moment though.
