Harbaugh Will Most Likely Pass on the Michigan Job
thewolverine.com - Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh led his team to a 40-12 victory over Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl. It was very likely his last game as the Cardinal head coach, but in a stunning twist, we don't expect him to be the next head coach at Michigan. Sources close to the situation say he decided last night he wouldn't entertain the Michigan job and would likely end up as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, who were expected to throw a ridiculous amount of money at him. "Oh please, please, give me a break," he said after the game when asked about his future at Stanford. "Have some respect for the game. It's about the performance tonight of these players. I love 'em. Let's talk about them."
Don't have a ton of time but here's what I think about the Harbaugh situation at this exact moment.
-Michigan obviously wants him and will throw any amount of money at him to make it happen. They're in a shitty spot if he says no cause Rich Rod's performance has essentially packed his bags for him.
-Harbaugh obviously has interest in returning to his alma mater but if he turns down the NFL for some reason I doubt he can resist the opportunity of bringing back Andrew Luck for another year and competing for the National Championship at Stanford. But now that I hear he's most likely not coming to Michigan, in my heart of hearts I think he makes the jump and goes to Denver or San Fran.
