Harbaugh To The 49ers
Coach Jim Harbaugh is leaving Stanford for the San Francisco 49ers, according to ESPN. A former Michigan quarterback, Harbaugh was at the top of many fans' wish lists for the vacant Michigan job. Athletic director Dave Brandon, in announcing coach Rich Rodriguez's firing Wednesday, said he believed Harbaugh was headed to the NFL. ESPN reported earlier today that Harbaugh will choose between Stanford and the San Francisco 49ers.
I gave up on trying to cover this whole circus earlier today. I ultimately threw in the towel after Elway came out and said something about how he thought Michigan was back in the running for Harbaugh after he declined the Miami spot. My nerves can't handle these types of swings plus it's just impossible to keep up with, so from now on in regards to the Michigan coaching position I will tell you when stuff happens and give you my opinion once it does, but the speculating is stupid cause 99% of it is bullshit.
Closing words on Harbaugh: He's headed to San Fransisco and it's a smart decision on his part. Take the money now when everyone thinks your the second coming of Bill Belicheck and come back to Michigan if the job opens up down the road. It sucks losing out on him cause he would've probably been the anwser in Ann Arbor for the next 20 years or so, but now we get to see what kind of AD David Brandon really is.
