At 4 pm yesterday, the Tigers were on a 7 game losing streak. 24 hours later and the Tigs have 2 wins under their belt and are looking to beat up on some teams. After beating the Rangers yesterday in a decisive win that featured a Gerald Laird home run (I mean, the fucking stars must really have been aligned on that one), the Tigers took on Toronto's ace Romero, getting 10 hits, 5 runs, and scoring in half of their opportunities. Yes it took a late rally, but that's better than nothing!
Verlander gave up 8 hits and 2 runs, but went 8 innings, letting Valverde close the door on this game in 2:29 minutes! Valverde gave up another hit in the 9th, but it wasn't the circus from the other night, so I think he's settled down.
I'm just happy to say, we're on a winning streak!
