Franzen Pulls a Sergie, Nets 5 Goals in Win over Senators
With the All-Star game behind them the Wings can smell the playoffs and Franzen let everyone know just where the Wings stand by dropping 5 on the Senators all by his lonesome. Haven't seen a performance like that since Sergie single handily beat the Washington Caps in 1996 with 5 goals. Of course Sergie's performance was way more showtime considering it was a 5-4 game and his 5th goal was the OT winner, but regardless, the Mule found a way to get it done last night and for that he should be commended. Take a trip down memory lane and watch Sergie's magical night.
PS - I love that this is in Russian and I'm obsessed with the guy in the stands who turns around and puts up his fingers on the fourth and fifth goal. Joe Louis Arena at it's finest.
