Zetterberg Continues to Be Constant Force as Wings Defeat Wild 4-2 and Clinch Central Division

With victories over Nashville on Saturday and then Minnesota on Sunday the Wings clinched 1st place in the Central for the 9th time in the last 10 years. With a few games remaining the Wings sit in the 2nd spot in the West and would play Anaheim who pulled a point ahead of Chicago if the playoffs started today. There is sure to be a lot more jostling over the final week or so of the season but so as of now it's really hard to predict who our first round match-up will be. As much as I want the Wings to keep winning and head into the playoffs with momentum I wouldn't hate life if they slipped to the 3 spot and ended up taking on Nashville instead of Chicago or Anaheim. But honestly the Wings shouldn't be scared of anyone as long as Datsyuk who returned on Sunday is back to 100% by the time the playoffs start and Franzen can shake off his 23 game slump. I'm confident both will happen considering Datsyuk is the best all around player in the league and Franzen is probably the most dominant playoff performer of the last 3 years.
