U of M's Lion Kim sits at 4 Over. Will Most Likely Miss Cut Without Stellar Performance Today
Lion Kim, a 22-year-old amateur and senior at the University of Michigan, opened with a 76 on Thursday and probably will miss the cut in his first Masters. "I kept reminding myself that this is his first time and try to help him along a little bit," said Love, who, along with Jose Maria Olazabal, played with Kim and will again today. Love said it probably was inexperience that kept Kim from a decent opening number.
Olazabal and Love were unusually chatty Thursday — to make Kim feel at home playing golf in front of the largest galleries he's ever seen. "I was just trying to keep him having fun," Love said. "We tried to talk to him a little bit, keep him loose. You just don't want to be the veteran guy that doesn't help out. You want him to be comfortable, help him along.
"It was unbelievable playing with Davis Love and Jose Maria Olazabal," Kim said. "They're great, just chit-chatting about everything, from golf to non-golf stuff, being friendly."
4 over? 4 over! That shit is inexcusable for a Michigan Man. Maybe if he didn't have Davis Love-s to shoot the shit and Jose Olazaballs on your chin chirping him the entire round he could've concentrated.

He was sporting some pretty sweet maize and blue FootJoy shield tips. Looks like you lost out on the glove.
