Cheli Jumps In Lake After Hitting 45 ft Putt
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that former Red Wings defenseman Chris Chelios nailed a 45-foot putt in the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational at Shadow Creek Golf Course. After sinking the long putt on the 18th hole, the Wings' hockey operations adviser performed a cannonball dive into the nearby lake, according to the newspaper. Apparently this isn't the first "wild" stunt out of Chelios in Vegas. The newspaper recalled a 2004 story when Chelios was asked to leave a restaurant in the Bellagio casino after he took part in a traditional Greek plate-breaking. In 2000, Chelios pulled a live lobster out of a tank at Morton's and began to dress it with butter.
Dude doesn't know when to hang it up but he certainly knows how to celebrate. How bout that Morton's story? Buttering a live lobster = awesome.
PS - If I'm not mistaken, dude also knows how to vent frustration. Pretty sure he was the captain of that US Olympic team that trashed a Japanese hotel after dropping a bomb in the Nagano games. You see what I did there? Bomb, Japan.
