Since When Is It Legal To Rape Someone In Baseball?

Turns out I am slightly less forgiving than Tigers Beat writer, John Falls because I still can't believe what I just saw. No fuckin chance that just happened. Really, just no fuckin chance in hell that just happened. Jim Joyce just ruined my life. Forget Galarraga, I'm fucked for life after this. I'll never, ever be able to watch sports the same way knowing Jim Joyce is out there still breathing oxygen. I already had a nightmare last night that Jim Joyce came out and kicked a last second 58 yard field goal to beat the Lions in the Superbowl. This rotten feeling in my stomach will never go away. No, this call is like herpes, it's for life.

Ohhh man, and what ass rapes me even more about this whole thing is the Willie Mays catch that Jackson makes to save the perfect game in the first place. When he made the grab I had the exact same reaction that Rod Allen had, "AHHAHAH JACKSON!"(40 second mark). To make a play like that, in that situation was sensational and Austin already has people in Detroit asking "Granderson, who?". After seeing that catch, Jim Joyce should've told himself that if this play is even remotely close, and i'm talking the runner is already on the outfield grass when the ball gets to first close, you still punching him out. No questions asked. The Indians wouldn't give a shit, christ Jason Donald basically begged Jim Joyce to call him out and he still didn't. You can even see the Indians trainer on the bench say "no fuckin way". You don't want a cheap call to give you a perfect game, but you sure as shit want it more than a miserable one taking it away. Just no possible way Jim Joyce calls him safe. Just no way.

The only concelation was that at least Cabrera chewed Joyce a new asshole during that last batter. And when the dogs were let loose after the game Bondo and G-money definitely got some shots in on Joyce too. After watching the replay in the dugout these two were livid. Should be an interesting dynamic when Laird and Joyce get to share the space behind homeplate for tonights game.

So how do we handle this? Personally, i'm gonna drink until I can't feel feelings anymore which is pretty much how I handle every problem in my life but I think Bud Selig needs to be a man of action here. This one should go down in the books as an E10 and Selig should officially declare it a perfect game. They switch stats after the fact all the time now so why not here? I'm sure Jim Joyce would appreciate it and that way he might even get outta Detroit tonight without getting murdered.

Even though I think they should fix this call, I just don't see them doing it. Changing the call would be admitting that instant replay at first base is needed right now but the MLB doesn't have a plan ready to impliment it, so they will leave it be. With that being said, I'd still say i'm pretty speechless. I'm really stuck in this state of shock where i just can't believe it happened like that. Worst possible scenario for everyone involved. I feel raped.
