Suh's Chrysler Commercial Just Another BJ in a Long Line of BJs from the National Media

How many national commercials can the Lions star in at one time? Shit, Calvin's got Acura on lockdown and now Suh's the new face of Chrysler. I wouldn't be surprised to turn on the TV tomorrow and see Backus selling Astrovans.

It's weird but through some odd combination of pity and curiosity, Detroit has become the media darling of the NFL. Everywhere you look you've got people clamoring over one another to get on the Lions' bandwagon. You literally couldn't watch the draft for 10 minutes without Chris Berman interrupting someone to talk about the "Lions?!". I for one don't like it. The hype prior to any real accomplishment usually leads to subpar effort and then ultimately failure. I want them to keep working for the fans that have been here all along. Not the talking heads at ESPN who are smitten with this comeback story. So for anyone trying to get on the wagon, I got two words for you, "seat's taken."

  2. there's one thing they can't take away from me though regardless of how the first four games go, and that's the monday night game. If the first night game at michigan stadium isn't my demise, that probably will be, so I only got 5 games of lions football left in my life anyway. As for the rest of you, I hope they prove the critics right.
