Tiger Beat: Is This Man The Next Tony Danza?

Tigers W 8-3, 35-29 overall, 2.5 GB of Twins

This guy. This guy Boesch! Wooowhee! Dude is a super hero. 3-4 with a home run, 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs? Make Brennan Boesch the Mayor of Detroit please. He's the only one doing work. And Boesch is the new Tony Danza. Guy was meant to play baseball. Dude spent 3 years in the minors, and I assume he worked as a male maid/butler in the off season just to make ends meet. I mean if Boesch can learn how to sing and dance, they'll have to give him his own daytime talk show. Dude is making the question "Who's the Boesch?" rhetorical at this point. Batting .344? Well fuck yeah! I mean overall, we had a pretty good night. We're now one win away from back to back sweeps, Verlander threw 101 mph yesterday with 11 strike outs (Tiger's starters have combined for 24 strike outs in 2 nights... can I get a hell yeah?!), and we scored in 50% of our opportunities. Shit is looking up.

In other Tiger's news, Ajax was out for the second game in a row with back spasms. He says they take a couple of days to work out, then he should be fine. I say as long as we're on a winning streak, you take all the time you need.

And I just want to throw a quick shout out to Carlos Guillen. Dude has been playing really well the last few games. Home runs, getting on base (he went 1-2 last night with a double and 2 walks), and playing solid though not exceptional defense at second base. Its just so sweet to watch Guillen play when he is healthy. All I'm going to say is don't get used to it. Dude even spends time in the hospital when he's healthy apparently... He loves it there...
