You Gotta Be A Frickin Doctor To Write About This Team

Calvin practiced the last two days and just finished an interview on 97.1 TheTicket where he said he's progressing well and the shoulder feels better each day. On Wednesday he ran routes but didn't attempt to catch any passes. Today Calvin caught passes left handed and showed off the increased range of motion in his injured shoulder. Tomorrow will be telling in regards to his availability on Sunday. I think if he's catching passes tomorrow in practice then we can expect to see him on Sunday. If he's still just running routes and catching left handed tomorrow than we need to get Mr. Irrelevant, Tim Toone, warmed up.

On the Matt Stafford front it looks like less progress is being made. Although The Schwartz didn't come out and say Hill will be the starter like he has previous weeks, it seems highly unlikely that Stafford will be ready to go Sunday after only throwing lightly with backup QB Drew Stanton on Wednesday and besides the fact that I'm going to the game and I wanna see Stafford play in person, I think it would be the wrong move to rush him back. Trying to get back in rhythm with his receivers in two days seems like a daunting task against a tough pass rushing team in New York. Go with Hill, let Stafford rest over the bye week and come back healthy for a second half push.
