Pacman Works Out - Joeyblueskies Likey

Freep - Lions officials reportedly met with Adam (Pacman) Jones before the troubled free-agent cornerback turned in what was apparently an impressive 30-minute workout for several NFL teams Friday. NFL.com reported the meeting occurred before the workout at a New Orleans area high school, where Jones showed off his speed. Jones' agent, Ray Savage, told the league's Web site Jones ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds and 4.48 seconds. Those would qualify as excellent times. At last month's NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, Wake Forest's Brandon Ghee had the top time in the 40 among cornerbacks at 4.45. The Lions and 49ers are considered to have the strongest interest in Jones. He has not played in the NFL since Dallas released him after the 2008 season.

After not playing 2 of the last 3 NFL seasons Pacman still shows up at a New Orleans high school and drops a better 40 time than all the young corners at the combine last month. Granted 40 speed isn't everything at the corner but I still think the Lions have to pull the trigger on Pacman, pun intended, and bring him in to help with this secondary. The guy can play at NFL speed and if he stays outta trouble and that's a huge if, then he will help this team no doubt about it. Not to mention that Derrick Williams a third round pick from Penn State has been extremely underwhelming in the return game thus far and Pacman can be straight explosive if given the opportunity to run one back.

You just gotta put him on a zero tolerance policy where you can terminate his contract if he ends up in the drunk tank even once in Detroit. Or better yet just build this guy his own strip club in the basement of his house and station a security guard outside of his door to keep the lid on things. Only let him out when it's time to go kick ass on Sunday. Oh wait, that's right, Pacman has issues with his own security. Fuck my life. I knew this plan was to good to be true.
