Do People Really Think Derrick Williams Doesn't Suck?

So while I was gone e$ put up the latest edition of the 2010 Detroit Lions breakdown that I had written a few days earlier. The receivers stirred up quite a bit of chatter and long time Blueskier Motay had this to say in regards to cutting Derrick "worst Mayhew pick ever" Williams.

I'm so confused as to who is making the posts today, but this one better not be you Mmase. Don't be an idiot. Derrick Williams is maybe the most showtime guy on this team (outside of Dre' Bly of course), especially ever since Jahvid Best apparently decided his career aspirations were to be a 290 lb fullback by choosing to wear #44 (its a far cry from #4 Jahvid, try better next time). If you want to put some idiot that looks like he hangs out on Ann Arbor street corners shooting heroin in his free time (Toone) ahead of a guy that has done shit like this...

....then you are out of your mind. D-Will: breakout year and next great Lions return man out of Penn State, reminding us of the Eddie Drummond days.
Motay

C'mon Motay, you're better than this. You are honestly saying that Derrick Williams is the most showtime player on the Lions? That statement is zero percent correct. Delmas, Calvin, Stafford, Follett, and D-cordinator Gunther Cunningham all have more showtime factor in their little finger than DWills has in his whole body. Think about it, dude has the one last name that automatically means you're a fuck if you're on the Lions.

And on top of that I can't remember him making one play other than that touchdown against Atlanta where Stafford threaded the needle and put it right off his back shoulder where only he could catch it. In fact he didn't even have the most showtime play of our 2-14 season. That belonged to Aaron Brown when he Dominique Moceanu'd all over the Falcons.

  1. Maybe i'm just prejudice against white guys that have dreads and would rather see Nick Sheridan as our 5th WR, I don't know. What I do know is that at open practice last year at ford field, these eyes saw first hand D-will lay out Marvin White on a wicked crack back block spurring a team wide fight. Badass. Dude has swagger. Toone is more likely to try and get a drum circle/joint passing session going at the 50 yd line than do something like that. You just don't let guys go that wore #2 and a visor in college, have sub 4.4 speed, and returned huge punts and kicks on a regular basis. You just don't do it. Call me Al Davis, but that's my philosophy and I'm sticking to it.
