Even Jesus Had A Drink Or Two

Huffpost - SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The son of former Notre Dame standout Joe Montana was among 11 Fighting Irish athletes arrested on misdemeanor charges of underage drinking at a party Friday night. A total of 44 people were arrested after city police responded to a call about a fight near a roadway and discovered the party, said St. Joseph County Police assistant chief Bill Redman. The most recognizable athletes arrested were Nate Montana, and Tim Abromaitis, the second leading scorer on the Irish basketball team at 16.1 points a game last season. Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly said he was aware of the arrests and was gathering information.

Shit, it's time for the Montana family to call a 20 second timeout here and fuckin regroup. First it's daddy Joe hitting rock bottom with these Sketchers Shapeup commercials and now his son gets busted pounding altar wine his first week on the Notre Dame campus. Stop the bleeding for fuck's sake Joe. Cause before you know it there's gonna be a sex tape of your wife and Dwight Clark surfacing.

On a sidenote, what a start for Brian Kelly at Notre Dame, eh. It won't be long before he starts growing devil horns and gets compared to Rich Rod. But this is just the nature of college football these days. If you're the coach of a big time program you basically go to bed each night and pray that you don't get a call about one of your players gang raping someone in the morning. You can't control what decisions they make when you're not around and when you give 19 year olds the keys to the fuckin city, then you're asking for trouble. It seems like the job is as much about controlling your teams public image as it is about winning games. Although like I always say, winning makes all the negative shit go away quick.
