The playoffs are back and so are the Wings' winning ways. Just as I predicted, Detroit came out last night and overpowered a Coyotes team that lacked execution and passion. After an early first period goal by Phoenix and a barrage of ticky tack penalties against Detroit, the Wings killed off a 5-3 which fired up the crowd and the Wings' bench. Then Bertuzzi got into what Babcock referred to as the first playoff fight during his tenure as coach and it was all Wings from that point on.
The Mule hitched up to the wagon.
The 3rd and 4th lines were buzzing. Timely goals from Hudler and Filppula could be the key to getting deep in the playoffs this year.
Pavel was Pavel. God I love this little alien looking mf'er.
And no Hank, no problem.
It's only one game but there are only 15 more to go. Somebody tell Scotty to get his skates on.
